Niayesh Livani is an Iranian-born British systems consultant with a background in international relations and enterprise business systems.
As IIPAC’s Media Relations & Systems Consultant, she looks after the Institute’s public relations, digital presence, and organizational systems, helping us reach our partners, media, and the communities we serve.
Nia is fluent in Farsi, English, and Korean and has lived and studied in Iran, Canada, and the UK. These experiences have shaped her understanding of diplomacy and of the importance of working across different perspectives.
She holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Exeter and a BA in International Relations from the University of East Anglia. Her research spans the ethics of U.S. foreign policy and the role of contempt in international conflict and diplomacy. Her interest in these areas stems from attending an International School in Iran, where she became fascinated by how people from diverse countries come together and how relationships are built across cultures and borders. As an Iranian, she has also long felt that politics is not something one can stand apart from — an awareness that has stayed with her throughout her academic and professional life.
Nia also works at Thinc, an international holistic technology partner covering core ERP and finance systems, managed IT, cyber security, and cloud services, and leads organizations in practical ways to use emerging technology, automation, and AI to improve their finance and business systems.
At IIPAC, Nia brings together two sides of her professional life: an understanding of international relations and her solid technical knowledge of the systems organizations need to help them communicate, operate, and grow.
