Farhad Vilkiji is a Persian-Dutch filmmaker, production designer, and visual artist with more than three decades of experience in film and television. He has worked on projects in the Netherlands, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, and across the Middle East.
His work often explores memory, identity, displacement, belonging, and social change. His first feature film as a director, Dead of Night, reflects on peace, totalitarian power, and their impact on human lives and relationships. He is particularly interested in the role of cinema and visual storytelling in creating dialogue and deepening our understanding of human experience.
